1. I'm completely out of shape. Can I still join Mobility Health & Fitness?

Absolutely! In fact, many of our members felt exactly the same way before they walked through our doors!

Mobility Health & Fitness was built for real women, not elite athletes. Whether you're just beginning your fitness journey, returning after years away from exercise, recovering from an injury, or navigating menopause, we'll help you find the right place to start.

Our instructors offer modifications for different fitness levels, allowing you to work at your own pace while gradually building confidence and strength.

The hardest part is often walking through the door the first time. After that, you'll quickly discover one of the most welcoming and supportive communities in Pictou County.

2. What is a No Sweat Intro (NSI)?

A No Sweat Intro is a free consultation designed to help you find the best starting point.

There's no workout involved. We'll simply sit down together and chat about your goals, lifestyle, health history, previous exercise experience, and any injuries or concerns you may have.

From there, we'll recommend the program that's the best fit for you, whether that's women-focused group fitness, yoga, personal training, semi-private training, health coaching, or one of our specialized programs. We'll also explain your membership and pricing options and answer any questions you have.

There's absolutely no pressure to join. Our goal is simply to help you decide what's right for you.

3. What should I expect at my first class?

We know starting somewhere new can feel intimidating, but we'll make sure you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.

Members generally arrive 5-10 minutes before a fitness class, and up to 20 minutes before a yoga class. Come a few minutes early to grab your spot, meet the instructor, and ask any last-minute questions.

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a water bottle. For most classes, a mat is recommended, although we have some available for rent if needed.

Most importantly, remember that everyone was new once. Our members are focused on their own workouts, not judging yours. Our instructors are there to support you, offer modifications when needed, and help you feel confident every step of the way.

4. What programs do you offer?

5. Do you offer memberships?

Yes! We offer a variety of membership and program options depending on the services you're interested in.

For our regular fitness and yoga classes, you can choose from:

  • Unlimited Membership (3-month minimum commitment)
  • 10-Class Punch Pass
  • Drop-In Visits
  • 30-Day Trial

We also offer membership and payment options for personal training, semi-private training, Pilates Reformer, health coaching, and our specialized programs.

During your No Sweat Intro, we'll help you choose the option that best fits your goals, schedule, and budget.

6. Are your classes only for women?

While we describe ourselves as a women-focused fitness and wellness studio, we don't exclude men from our classes. That said, the vast majority of our members are women, and we've found that many women feel more comfortable beginning or continuing their health journey in a supportive, women-focused environment. That's the community we've intentionally built, and it's something we're incredibly proud of.

Several of our services are available to everyone, including personal training, in-home personal training, physiotherapy, pelvic floor physiotherapy, and our Cancer EXCEL program.

Our mission has always been to create a welcoming, supportive space where people feel comfortable, empowered, and confident taking the next step in their health journey.

7. How do I get started?

The easiest way to get started is by booking a free No Sweat Intro.

We'll take the time to learn about your goals, answer your questions, and recommend the program that's the best fit for you. Whether you're looking to lose weight, get stronger, improve your mobility, manage a health condition, or simply feel healthier, we'll help you create a plan that works for you.

From there, we'll support you every step of the way.
